Christopher Morley

American novelist, journalist and essayist Christopher Morley (1890-1957) wrote two novels about the passion for books, Parnassus on Wheels and The Haunted Bookshop. Less well known are his stories and essays on the subject, some of which appear here for the first time on the World Wide Web, from Pipefuls (1920).
